Introduction (Top)

This is a High Adventure trip and probably unlike anything most of you have done before and is something you will probably remember for the rest of your life. Each of you is an experienced camper and as such your participation in preparations and readiness for this outing is expected and required for everyone to have a safe and fun trip.

In the coming weeks we will be:

  1. Splitting the group into two treks (max of 9 per trek)
  2. Discussing what gear to bring with, it’s pretty minimal, but what you do bring is important. However don’t go out and buy anything until we talk more.
  3. Looking at route planning options, it s completely up to your group to decide where you want to go from your entry point so I encourage you to look at the maps. The leaders also have more detailed maps to review.
  4. Selecting meals, just in case you catch enough fish.
  5. Selecting an exit point to be picked up at when your trip in over

Lastly, the High Adventure email address, adventure at troop149mchenry.org, has been set up to communicate directly with everyone going to BWCA this year. Please feel free to use it to contact the entire group with questions or suggestions and to keep in touch. As your first action, as part of this years BWCA trek,
